We stayed here on the advice of a friend who highly recommended this hotel. I would not stay here again. They do not tell you the office is closed after 8 PM. We were almost locked out of the hotel despite having paid for the room. The staff is unfriendly. The downstairs area is lovely and nicely decorated with antiques.... More

We stayed 2 weeks in Syracuse and visited a lot of the surrounding area the wonderful towns like Noto , Ragusa , Modica , the Greek sites. We enjoyed walking in the small street of Ortigia , having a coffee outside the Duomo , go to the street market and try some of the delicious cheeses on offer- watch an improvised... The hotel staff were very helpful, and went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate our needs. The building itself is a very beautiful example of the town's old architecture, and it was especially rewarding to take a tour of the ancient Jewish mikva found the beneath the premises. If I'm in Siracusa again, and I certainly hope... More

This place could be so great!! Wonderful historic building with many interesting artifacts on display. Good location. Large rooms with lovely details like wood beams on the ceiling. Friendly staff. But there are some serious problems here. The office is only open from 8am-noon each day. After that everything is locked up so there is no access to the charming... More

We stayed at Alla Giudecca for 2 nights at the end of September. Pros: - Location is great, an easy walk to everywhere in old town - We may have lucked out, but the room (or rather the suite) was AMAZING. It was on several levels with a separate bedroom, exposed wood beams, an outdoor terrasse overlooking Siracusa's roofs. The... More

We arrived without a booking on a Sunday morning very late in the season. The desk staff were unfazed and allowed us to have the room immediately. It was a one bedroom apartment with a very clean modern bathroom, four-poster bed, sitting room with couch , kitchenette and television. Both rooms had french doors and juliet balconies. There was free... More

We stayed here 2 nights and were really thrilled with the charming apartments. We stayed in 002 and had a dining area, kitchenette, and another room with sofas and TV on the ground floor. Metal winding stairs led to two bedrooms upstairs. One with a double bed and the other room with 2 twins. Between the two was a little... More

Not really a hotel by normal standards, this is really three palazzo's converted into a residencia by the “Marchesa” Amalia Daniele". Wonderfully eccentric rooms with usually some kind of terrace attached. No restaurant, but a breakfast buffet in the morning. Be sure to schedule a visit to the Jewish Baths discovered in 1989 below the hotel. Not much to look... More

My wife and I stayed here for 5 days in late September. We found it on our second day in Siracusa. We had been at another more expensive hotel but when we saw Giudecca we checked out of the other hotel and moved into Giudecca. We had room #12 with our own entryway, Mediteranean view from the living room window... More
