We found ourselves in Florence without reservations late in Apr 2012. We were lucky to find rooms in a great 3 star hotel for all but the last night, so we thought we'd splurge on a 4 star and get closer to the rail station for our departure the next morning. Sadly, we were disappointed in the Croce di Malta.... More

The staff weren't overly friendly and some of the decor, including the pool area, could have done with a bit of an upgrade but those were the only negatives in an overall excellent experience for a hotel of this grade. We booked a triple room and were given a two bedroom studio, with an upstairs and downstairs and two bathrooms,... More

A four-star hotel that's far away from that. Reception and lounge are nice, but go straight to the elevator to find an old-fashioned moquette box. The room wasn't that big, with a small tv and a dirty mini-bar. Sheets were dirty, as well as the bed-cover. The bathroom was nice but the shower box was dirty in the corners. On... More

My family & I stayed here for 2 nights in Feb 2012. The hotel is located in an amazing location, within a 4 min walking distance from Smn train station and across the road from Santa Maria Novella cathedral. The lobby and bar areas are newer, but the rooms themselves are a little older and starting to show their age.... More

Our room was pretty awesome. It was cutely decorated, spacious, and comfortable. The bathrooms were big & clean. My only gripe is the wifi. It worked in one spot our room but worked perfectly fine outside of the room. Thank god for the couches outside of the room since the wifi worked out there. The staff was super friendly esp.... More

The location was great but the hotel was a big disappointment ! When we picked this Hotel we thought we were staying in a 4 stars hotel but we were shocked when we saw the room which was cheaply furnished , the bathroom which was too small and so dirty . The lobby of this hotel is nice with good wifi access (which is supposed to be available in the rooms but didn't work in ours). The location is great being two mins walk from the station and close to main attractions. The bar area is nice although the bar always seemed to be unattended. The staff make this hotel a... More

Loved how cute and quaint this hotel is! Stayed here for two nights as part of a Trafalgar tour group. The shower is tiny! Had no problems with hot water or with elevator noise. We were on the 2nd floor, not far from the elevator. We were waken up one night by a drunk man yelling in the streets! But... More
