- Machiavelli Palace Hotel Florence

A good no-frills place to stay in Florence, it's just a couple of minutes from the train station and a 5 minute walk to the Duomo or a 10-15 minute walk to the Palazzo Vecchio and Ufizzi.
The room was really small with a tiny shower area but I guess that's what you can expect in a low budget hotel...

My second stay here - good location, rooms and facilities all up to standard. VERY handy for railway station and for all the City-Centre sites and the buses too. Not too noisy - for a city centre hotel I'd say it was quiet. The guests appeared well behaved too. Breakfast good, with friendly staff on hand. Menu not wide and...

Location is excellent: Walking distance from both train and bus station as well to the dome and many attractions. In fact we just used the bus to go to the hills.
Edification: Seems to be renovated.
Personel: Kind and helpful.
Room: Spacious, queen size bed, decently furnished and decorated.
Bathroom: Efficient but no wow
Breakfast: Well ... fast! Nothing special...

I would have given this hotel a lower rating if it hadn't been for the lovely city of Florence. The hotel was out-dated, but that didn't bother me. We arrived by train and the hotel was a 5-minute walk from the train station. The location wasn't the best as far as site-seeing, but there was a great grocery store down...

Basic breakfast but have to pay for fresh juice rather than squash.
Ok for weekend away but takes 20 mıns to walk from Duomo to hotel so taxi ıs better but quite a pleasent walk along the river...

he pictures shown must be the "suite" as the standard rooms are much smaller. However, overall the hotel was about what you'd get for your money. Average sized room with a good sized bathroom along with AC and TV. Location is good in the sense that is near the train station and within walking distance of all the sites.

Room was not clean with bad smell from the kitchen, worse thing is that the water pressure was very low so a shower takes for ever not a good experience to have in January weather.

I booked a single room but got a double with a balcony for the same price. The room was clean and cleaned every day. Having the balcony must be wonderful in the summer but still nice to sit outside in the evening and listen to the bussle. The location is really good, close to the train station and the centre....
