Old style building and room with ensuite, clean and reasonable price. Did not take the offered breakfast and was good decision. Quite location about 10 minute walk from the Duomo. No frills but more than adequate. Would return.

The room was small, tired and unclean. The bathroom was ensuite and the whole room was soaked after a shower. The walls are paper thin which meant if you were staying here for peaceful rest you have no chance as other guests coming and going until 3am is very noisy. The location is rather far from the center. The owner is a micromanager. She had to control everything. There is only 1 TV in the breakfast room. She had to work the remote for you, controlled the channel you watched, and stayed up sitting with you until you went to sleep. She was a very "cranky" lady. Breakfast was horrible.... More

Albergo Losanna is a very basic and clean budget rate hotel within walking distance of the main sights in Florence. We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom (60 euro a night, breakfast excluded) but there are rooms with shared facilities in the hotel as well. The receptionist/owner was very friendly and we did our best with our poor italian.
