The accommodation was fine. A little older, but full of character and clean. My main issue with the accommodation was the noise level. We could hear loud talking from the restaurant and cafe near the accommodation. Even after closing the window and the shutters, it was still quite loud.

Good basic hotel. Clean, safe, good bed, good breakfast, good service. Walk easily to all of old Lucca. Anna is sweet. Her limited English is not a problem. I would stay again.

Le Violette is very close to the Porta Pietra, which makes it really convenient to the train station and also for drivers that are dragging luggage into the old town. Le Violette doesn't have many amenities, but it has some great things going for it. Anna, the proprietress, doesn't speak much English but she has enough to get the job done.
