It was quite difficult to find a hotel in Siena so when we found the Moderna we accepted it. While it is hard to find hotels in Sienna, particularly in August because of the Palio, this hotel is expensive for what you get. We found the lady at the front desk, even with little English, friendly and helpful. The room we were initially shown was at the front on the main road, with a shower curtain. When we requested one at the back, it had shower doors. No view - except over a parking lot, but much quieter than the main road alternative.... More
