This was one of the best places we stayed during our trip through Europe. Beautiful building, stunning location and friendly, helpful staff. And breakfast was always an absolute pleasure. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This is an older hostel. There are no handrails for the staircase and no light in part of the dark stairwell. There is no elevator so be prepared to lug your stuff if your room is at the very top. We spent one night in a double room. The price of Fr. 180 is ok and includes a great breakfast. Very clean. The room Is tastefully decorated. The setting next to the river is beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. Will return!

Quirky, spartan, and perfect. Patrick and Angela are very friendly and extremely accommodating. Shared bath was clean and functional. Bern is pricey and I was hesitant in booking a hotel known as a backpackers' hangout. However, the Landhaus was a very good choice and experience.
