Stayed 2 nights on TT tour. Grand old hotel with high ceilings, large rooms and handy location to access town shops etc. Has train connection to Lucerne. Dinner and breakfasts very good, room comfortable. Should be lots of snow in winter. Lovely drive in and out of valley.

I visited this hotel twice and organized an event in this location. The hotel was one of the first built in Engelberg and reflects the grandeur and large spaces of the old times. We had a very good stop here. Engleberg is a little way out of Lucerne but worth the detour if only for the pretty countryside. The one thing that was a little frustrating was the one & only elevator - a major pain when there is a coach tour stopping here!
