I have been staying here annually since 1999. It was my favorite place in all of Switzerland to stay. The views are amazing. The location in Murren is ideal. The service, staff, food, and rooms were all fantastic. Especially the room balconies. You may have noticed, I said it WAS my favorite place. It has been closed down for the... More

This is one of our favorite hotels and we are already trying to figure out how to get back sooner. The rooms were very nice with balconies. The attached sports complex was great (indoor pool , snow rentals, tourist info). We loved the breakfast! It was definitely the best deal that we found while in Switzerland considering how quality all... More

An excellent place and hotel for stay. As travel is long to reach the hotel, carry less luggage. Coffee maker in the room is handy. Carry sache for tea/coffee. Half board of the hotel is recommended. Carry your glares, good pair of shoes and woollens for winter time. Very courteous and helpful hotel staff. Full marks to them. A good... More

The Alpin Palace was an excellent choice for our week-long Swiss vacation. The facilities were excellent and well maintained. The views were spectacular and the location was superb for taking various day trips to the the Alps. One day when the whether was not conducive for viewing the surrounding mountains we took a day trip (via the handy rail system)... More

We came to Murren following three days at Fasnacht in Basle looking for a peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, our rooms spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room were much appreciated (you'll need to take some sachets of tea/coffee with you). The views were beautiful as they are... More

We enjoyed our stay in Murren over New Year and will return to the village but NOT to the Palace. Overall, the place is terrible. The decor is just awlful - completely out of keeping with the lovely old building and the stunning village. The food quality is also very poor - so bad that we only ate in the... More

My husband & I just returned from a two-night stay at the Alpin Palace. We had a corner room (#124) with windows on two sides and were completely amazed by the view from our room & balcony. The view of the 3 mountains of the Jungfrau was amazing. The moon was just about full, so we could see the mountains... More

We stayed in room 211 (deluxe double room with balcony; 133 CHF PER PERSON per night including breakfast and dinner). The hotel is in a good location, very near to the train station. The hotel and restaurant staff are all very friendly. After taking so many trains and cable cars and lifts to get to Murren, it was nice to... More

The Alpin Palace from outward appearances appears to be in the style of the grand old hotel. We expected elegant rooms and nice amenities. Instead we discovered that the hotel had obviosuly undergone rennovation- the room style can best be described as Ikea-ish. While there was ample room, there was nothing of charm. The beds were rock-hard- after one night,... More

We stayed here for 2 nights half-board. The property has a stunning location with breathtaking views from all rooms. The rooms looking down the valley have the best views of the mountains and the Eiger however. I was hesitant about the half board option, but the food was excellent. They do like you to choose from the menu in the... More
