“Great location, very helpful staff”

We stayed in the family room of Hotel America. The hotel is upgraded and the room was great. The location is unbeatable (middle of Piazza Grande) and the staff is very helpful. We also ate at their restaurant and really liked the entrecote that is served on a lava stone - delicious. Would recommend for city visits to Locarno. More

Upon arriving at the hotel, we were asked to pay for the entire stay immediately. It does make one wonder if they don't want you to shorten the stay; or maybe they had customers refusing to pay the full amount. Our room had a balcony overlooking an alley where people from the surrounding shops and restaurants put out their trash.... More
