Location is one of the benefits and you can rely here on an absolutely hygiene.Single rooms - too small. Breakfast needs some more efforts. Definately reccomend as 3 stars hotel in Switzerland.

Very nice location, a little far from the center, but peacefull and quiet, with amazing view to the lake. The hotel is well furnished, but old-fashioned and very impersonal, and the rooms in the second building and very small. The restaurand is very nice, facing the lake, and breakfast is tipical for Switzerland.

Recent trip to Zug, and all hotels were full, apart from the Guggital. Caters to business people. Interiors are very 70ish (lots of dark wood), and the rooms are both sparse and stylewise lack personality. Husband and I stayed for two weeks here. Rooms are not large, but well furnished and comfy, with soft duvets and firm mattresses. View from the balcony was a stunner. Good quality hotel with great views. Room was moderately well furnished. Bed was firm and pillows were of reasonable size and firmness. Like most hotels in Zug, the double room was simply two twin beds pushed together. Nice highlights throughout - granite luggage counter in the room and granite in the bathroom. Full sized bathtub.
