We stayed here for 2 nights on our way to Geneva. Our suite was large and well appointed, Nespresso machine & spa shower were a bonus. The hotel has a bar and nightclub in it which is good but......Saturday nightclub music can be heard on the room, they do supply ear plugs which does the job. All in all a... More

Smack in the Niederdorf, the medieval part of the city of Zurich or just one bridge to cross to reach the Bahnhofstrasse, Europe's most elegant shopping street and business center, this hotel offers a great deal of possibilities, restaurants, nightlife, you name it. From Zurich airport, where trains leave for Zurich main station about every five minutes, you can walk... More

This place is completely outdated and the music level of the next door club is just terrible. I am writing this review in the middle of the night as it is just simply impossible to sleep. Use this hotel perhaps to store your suitcase but do not seriously consider to get decent night rest. I am a frequent traveller and... More

Small but nice hotel in the middle of the old pedestrian area of Zurich. Rooms are simple but confortables, breakfast is served at your scheduled time in your room. Free wireless internet, frigo bar at good prices and satellite tv. A good choice to visit the old town and a very friendly place to stay for few days. Prices are... More

Do not stay at this hotel if you are looking for a good nights sleep and required to get up early - this is the worst hotel experience we have ever had. We were booked at the "sister" hotel the Platzhirsch and when we arrived after a long day of train travel & walking quite a ways with all our... More

The hotel is a small and (for Swiss standards) less pricey alternative. The rooms are simple but cozy (especially the ones on the top floor facing towards the pedestrian area. As a standard breakfast is served in the room! The location is right in the center of the old town, many restaurants, bars and picturesque strolls nearby. One complaint: a... More

This hotel has a great location in the "old town" of Zurich. You can easily walk to all sights within the old town and the hauptbahnhof(train station). My breakfast was included and it was the "old" fashion way of ordering before you go to bed and hang it on the door. I couldn't fault the breakfast and it was quite... More

I would say if you don´t mind partying this hotel is OK as the location is good in the old town. We did not have the trouble others had with being booked in a different builidng i.e. we got exactly what we booked and the receptionist was friendly on arrival. We had an ensuite and breakfast brought to our room... More

Starting from the good points, the location is very good, right in the old town, and this is the main reason I decided to book it. Also the price was quite reasonable for Zurich. The hotel has 2 buildings. I didn't stay in the main one but it's only 5 mins walking from it. I was disappointed because I was... More

We booked and paid to stay at the Goldenes Schwert 3* hotel on Hotel Pronto part of GTA Hotels. When we arrived we were told we were in the other bit of the hotel with no on suite - 2*. The person on reception advised that this happens all the time and they were full in the 3* hotel (... More
