The location of the hotel is great: close to the city centre and within walking distance of the central station. The hotel itself looks worn out and doesn't provide value for money in my opinion. When entering I had to leave a deposit just in case that I eg. would take something from the minibar. No problem apart from that... More

I stayed between May 9 and 15, 2012. Staff is multi-lingual, but do not always provide accurate information. I was told I could get free Wi-fi in the lobby by one staff member, and later that I could not by another (it was available for 5 Euros/hour). I was told I could get room service at 6 am., and when... More

Well, Rembrandt Classic offered me a surprise I haven't experienced ever before in my career of 150+ hotel stays.. I arrived to the hotel after a late flight at 2130 hours, expecting a smooth check-in as hotel demanded from my travel agency a prepaid reservation. Lo and behold - the check-in desk clerk indicated that they had a full house... More

The hotel is in a good position for transport, restaurants and sightseeing. It is in need of some updating and a lick of paint but rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The hot water is dangerously hot- practically at boiling point. I booked 2 rooms, one of which was large with a canal view and the other small, hot and overlooking... More

We stayed at this 'hotel' during the Queens Birthday. I can understand that hotels push their prices up during busy periods but what we were charged for the value received was daylight robbery. The beds were very uncomfortable and felt dirty, the pillows were so bad that I think they were stuffed with old socks, the thermostat in the shower... More

We wanted to visit Amsterdam only because of the Tulip gardens. We were there in the 2nd week of April. In that sense it was perfect for the price we paid. We were at the place for 2 nights but hardly at the hotel during the day. But what ever time we spent at the hotel we liked it. It... More

THE NEGATIVE FIRST - The hotels web site does NOT show any photos of the dorm room we stayed in nor does it mention the average size of a double room. Truly, there is barely enough room for 2 persons to move around. Tripadvisor reviews do however show how small most of these rooms really are. The other couple we... More

In front of a Canal, 2 blocks from The Dam (central square), 10 blocks from the Centraal Station, 7 from the Red Light District, it means you can walk from your hotel to the most famous places in Amsterdam. The hotel is very clean and has nice rooms. The beakfast is simple. Perfect location for the money you pay for!! More
