After trying to stay within a strict budget in pricey Amsterdam for a few days, we needed a treat. This lovely restaurant was perfect.  The decor was modern and comfortable, with artwork placed tastefully around the bar and dining area.  Service was friendly and responsive, the staff obviously take pride in the experience they offer patrons. We had the menu... More

The Albus Amsterdam is right in the middle of town, exactly where you want to be. There are several tram lines running directly in front of the hotel. This made my room (no.301) very loud, especially as the windows can barely shield the noice. Therefore my sleep was not good. I tried to checked-in 2 hours after the check-in time... More

Room not ready an hour and a half after check-in time, unhelpful receptionist, dark, narrow corridors, double room cramped even for one person, restaurant understaffed and tiny, necessitating queueing for breakfast. On this basis, I would reduce its self-declared four star rating to two and a half maximum, and thus would not consider it worth the premium rates it charges. More

The only thing about this hotel is the good location! They need to really improve the service especially at the front desk. The room service staff is amazing though! More

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in for service and friendliness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. We were even escorted to our room on arrival rather than handed the keys and pointed towards the lift which is what happens in most hotels. The room was a good... More

We have stayed here several times over the last few years. Great hotel, perfect location and excellent customer service. Close to restaurants, the flower market, shops, cinema and walking distance from many attractions. Good for family and friends. More

Very central location and the service was excellent. Loved the coffee machine in the room and breakfast was nice too particularly the chocolate sprinkles and croissants. Lovely atmosphere in the hotel and modern and comfortable. My partner had a sensitivity to perfumes so she found the room deodoriser that housekeeping used a little overpowering but no problem for me. Reception... More

Comfortable double. Spacious, clean bathroom and the in-room espresso machine really took care of jet lag, once I figured out how to work it. Our 5th floor street side room was too warm (a floor fan was provided), with no climate control that we could find, and noisy with the windows open but given the location, acceptable. One complaint is... More

Just back from 2 nights at the Albus and was very pleased. It's a 4* (rather than 5*) but the rooms and the staff are definitely 5*. The room was very spacious, bathroom was excellent with a nice wetroom. One gripe I have is that there is no free wifi in the room - you are asked to buy a... More

I stayed for 2 nights on a business trip to always busy Amsterdam. This is a small hotel on a very good location, near the flower market, with easy walking access to the shopping areas on both Leidsestraat or Utrechtsestraat for instance, also with dozens of options to eat nearby, e.g. around Rembrandt Square. The staff at reception desk was... More
