Clean and tidy room, staff helpful apart from the room key cards not working every once in a while ,breakfast consists of toast ham and cheese plus boiled egg so don't expect a hearty breakfast but it was satisfying for breakfast, locatated in a quiet area about ten mins walk away from dam square ,if you like an early night for sleep...

Spent two nights in the Agora while visiting Amsterdam and I would say it was about what I expected.Contrary to some of the reviews on here, my wife and I did not have any problem with bed bugs, so that's a big plus.
The positives:
-GREAT location: not only was it a short trip from the train station, (approx. 10...

We had a weekend in hotel Agora. We arrived in Friday, when we also bought 1 bottle of water and cola in the Albert hein in the corner. Went out in Saturday morning and coming back late in the afternoon. I drank my sparkling water, the taste was terrible, we found shampoo in the bottle ...then we found shampoo also...

After investigating the matter, having checked all locks, also looked into the history of the lock of their room we found nothing out of the ordinary. Furthermore we also viewed the video of the camera on their floor. Our housekeeping staff was in the room once every day and other then the guest nobody has entered the room. Ofcourse we...

This is a clean, basic hotel located right next to the flower market. Easily accessible by foot / tram. Good wifi. The breakfast is very mediocre and the weekend rates are pretty steep. But thats Amsterdam on a weekend :-(

Hostile, unhelpful and aggressive staff. Situated next to a night club that makes the walls shake until 4-5am. Filthy rooms. Filthy bathoom. Not even bothered to change filthy sheets
from the previous occupant. Eaten alive by bugs and charged 400 euros for one Saturday Night despite the rooms being capped at 125 euros. Avoid at all costs and get dumps...

As from the end of last year we have renovated all bathrooms, the ground floor and the reception area. We have upgraded our breakfast and are currently renovating our guest rooms. We placed new beds in all rooms and will have duvets as from the end of this month. We are aware things were not in order in the past,...

Stayed here for two nights when at a conference in Amsterdam at recommendation of colleagues in Amsterdam, since I do not know the city well. Hotel was relatively expensive compared to quality it offered (Eur130 per night for single room). Beds were fine though I did wake up covered in bites and then read Trip Advisor reviews about bed bugs...

Yes, it might be central, but it is filthy and the people who own the hotel don't care.
since we last stayed there, they seem to have upgraded the breakfast room a bit.
Do not ask for a canal view room, nor one facing the back
they are all noisy ,tiny rooms and bathrooms not clean.I asked for extra Towel,...

The hotel is ideally situated for sightseeing. Drop at Koningsplein tram station (lines 1,2,& 5). Some rooms have a canal view, others on a patio/garden. Ask if bathroom is private or down the hall. Breakfast is rather light style. Free wi-fi is available in the hotel.
Main problem is the noise from contiguous night-club on week-end. Impossible to sleep in...
