I have visited several hotels around the world and always hotels that are not in the most expensive league, but Hotel Atlas in Amsterdam is the worst ever:
A party of 4 was given two rooms in the basement overlooking a dull courtyard. The rooms were very small, poorly furnished and badly cleaned. The tapestry was even falling off the...

Dear Sir / Madam
We are very sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your stay. We have checked the rooms thoroughly and we must say that we as a management did not find the any tapestry falling off the walls. We take care immediately if the guest pulls the curtain hard it might come off the railings...

This hotel was really quite excellent.
The room was modern and spotless with comfort that we needed. Actually we are also very chilled travellers, so it was quite relaxing for us to stay at Atlas hotel.
The location is what everyone wants of a hotel in the heart of city being right next to the park is very peacefull.

Just competed a long (three week) stay at the property and found myself compelled to write my first ever trip advisor review. The hotel has apparently changed hands a couple of times in the last years and as a result quality, charm, decor, and services have declined whilst cost remains the same. The hotel, now under the management/ownership of an...

The atlas hotel has pushed me into writing my first ever tripadvisor review. It is not clean, I had to ask for a shower head to be cleaned as I really could not have used it. The carpets are stained, the 'soap' provided was in a dispenser and 'for everything'. The service was hit and miss at best. I can't...

Thank you for your review.
Every customer is important to us.
We are sorry that the showerhead had to be cleaned due to the hardness of the water, but the hotel staff reacted immediately when they were informed.
The soap provided is indeed in a dispenser as this is found to be more hygienic than the bottles. We would like...

Looks great on their website, but as an 8-year regular IBC attendee this was a waste of money. Little more than a backpacker's hotel, but at business prices.Mean little room, sheets unchanged after 7 days, ragged towels, disinterested staff. Read the other reviews: there's a pattern.

Recently visited Amsterdam again and stayed with the family in Atlas hotel. It was turely great experience and relaxing stay in this small boutique hotel in the best location of Amsterdam. Rooms had all the facilities we were looking for. Will surely recommend this hotel to all and we for sure will be back again this year, hopefully before X'Mas.

4 day conference requiring a fairly central not overly expensive hotel. For its purpose, the Atlas Hotel was fine.
Positives: Very easy to find and right next to the excellent Vondelpark with some useful cafes and restaurants nearby. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Everything in good working order. Generally very clean.
Negatives: Some profiteering here - 3...

What a perfect hotel loccted in the best area of Amsterdam. Turely great service by the staff and owner manager. They all went out of their way to service us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. We even got a complimentary breakfast though we had booked for room only.
We were with 3 couples and each of us...

I'm an avid traveler and an optimist so despite some of the bad reviews, I wanted to give it a chance. I have friends from all cultures and am very easy to get along with. I was in for the shock of my life at this hotel--- without exxageration----THE FRONT DESK STAFF (ESPECIALLY THE MANAGERS!!! AND "OWNERS" OF THE HOTEL)...
