Stayed 4 nights in the Quentin arrive hotel. The staff are nice and pleasant as well as being friendly and also helpful. The location is fantastic especially if you want a less full on tourist experience but with the touristy options essentially on your front door. There is also a restaurant attached to it but we didn't eat there. Bathrooms are clean and we had a triple room which decent in size. Room was overall okay but the beds were terrible to the extent we reported it to reception thinking the slats were broken however maintenance didn't find anything wrong with it. If you're going to Amsterdam for a nice stay in the hotel and are seeking a lot of comfort then book elsewhere, if you will be out most of the days and use it to only sleep you'll be fine. I would recommend it for this purpose. Please be aware there is no lift and the stairs a bit of pain however it appears Amsterdam is full of buildings with dodgey stairs so it's not different to the rest.

The staff at front desk and restaurant were very friendly. The place is well located, I would stay again in this place. Bad thing there are only stairs, but that’s mainly all this type of hotel in Amsterdam.

At best a 1 star hotel! My room was less than 6 feet wide with a twin bed and sink. No storage was provided. Toilet and shower were found down the hall. Stairs were way to steep and I had to walk sideways because steps were so narrow. Do not bother booking this overpriced excuse for a hotel!

I came back to the hotel in the late evening I went to go upstairs the card wasn’t working or the door. The older fella said that I wasn’t allowed to stay. I tried to explain that the door wouldn’t open and he kicked me out to the street which my friends were upstairs trying to sort. To let me back in so they ended up getting my bank card he had his foot over the door so he couldn’t give me my card. I managed to get it from under the door and ended up paying 80€ for a 6 hour sleep. Brilliant service by far 🥴

Didnt even have a booking with them, they stole £450 out my bank account blaming it on a computer glitch and refused to refund the money in full then blocked me from contacting them on social media, be very careful about this place

During the Covid-19 outbreak while the world is on lockdown. They would not give a refund on our booking when our flights are cancelled. They offered for us to change dates which must be given to them in advance and they would let us know the new amount. Was advised we can only change for a date when the stay would be of higher value than original booking and we pay the difference. The flights have been refunded so highly unlikely we are to travel to Amsterdam anytime soon. Who’s to say how long this pandemic will last! Very poor customer service. I was shouted at down the phone and spoke over by a female member of staff. Booking.com put forced majeure in place yet the hotel was still to budge. I’m reluctant to give in and let them keep my money for a service they won’t be providing.

Quentin Arrive Hotel would not give me a refund even though my flights were cancelled and the entire world was on lockdown. The staff were rude and condescending and wanted an extra €200 charge to change the booking to a later date! They also charged me twice for the rooms and are not picking up the phone or replying to emails. This is straight up theft! I implore everybody reading this not to forget this situation when things go back to normal, they shouldn't be able to rob people and get away with it. Disgusting behavior from this money-grabbing corporation, you bring shame on the Netherlands.

Between our group we had 5 triple rooms. Mine on the 3rd floor had broken flooring in the bedroom and in the bathroom. The toilet was at an angle due to pipe work behind it meaning impossible to sit on it with the door shut unless you sat sideways; very small bathroom; dirty bathroom hair and dust everywhere. Towels not changed and small and budget. Window frames paint all peeling off. Curtains stained and torn. Bed ok but cleanliness questionable. I tried to move hotels but nothing was available elsewhere otherwise I would’ve been gone in a second! The bedrooms our group had in the basement were boiling hot, super hot. The main staircase carpet was disgusting - dirty and torn. Stairs extremely steep and narrow. We weren’t told about breakfast or anything on arrival (not that I would’ve eaten anything coming out of their kitchen!!) and when some of our group asked to go in the bar they were told they couldn’t even though others were in there? Weird place! Not worth it at all, and although close walk to the station it was a really grubby area. Good luck if you go here.

My friends and I stayed at the hotel a few days ago as our first stop on our trip. I am very happy it was our first one because the others were much nicer places. Firstly, this triple room costs SO much money. It’s the reason we only stayed one night in Amsterdam. I swear it cost more to stay one person there then all of the other hotels combined. There must have been an event going on in the city because there wasn’t room anywhere else to go. The location was great, though, so bonus points. Another issue is that the room was so hot. I tried everything to turn the heat down but to no avail, and they provided a fan that did absolutely nothing. It was essentially white noise. Despite the heat, the rest of the room was fine, I think they got the job done and I’m glad it was a one night thing. For visitors, splurge on getting a hotel room instead. It will end up costing the same amount and you’ll actually feel comfortable.
