Friendly and helpful staff made this a more welcoming place. Rooms of different size, and relatively quiet. We had a room at the back and had the window open. Only complaint is about the cleaning (dusty) and the stained bed linen and towels (not acceptable). I told the boss, so we'll see what it's like next time (yes, I am... More

Great little hotel, straight across the road from the tram stop so very easy to find, you get your own key to come and go as you please, staff are very friendly and our room was spacious had everything we needed, was clean and beds very comfy. No noise from outside so got a great sleep, couldn't fault the hotel... More

Hotel Plantage is located in the "Plantage Middenlaan" part of town. Right across from the Artis (zoo), very easy to get to by tram, bus, or water taxi. The rooms are average to large in size according to Amsterdam standards, and are kept very clean. What you will get here is a nice room in a quiet neighborhood, with a... More

Stayed at Hotel Plantage in October with a group staying in 4 rooms. The rooms vary greatly in size and layout - my room didn't have a wardrobe others had a lobby as well as main room and bathroom. This is a very basic hotel - the bedlinen, showers and towels were clean but don't look took closely at the... More

Tiny attic room 34 has 2 airplane sized windows and an extremely tiny bathroom built into the roof so you can't even stand up. The pot smoking in the hallway didn't class this creaky flop house up either. And the location isn't great. You can find something better. More

For 2 star hotel in Amsterdam really big rooms. 15 minutes walking to red light district. Amsterdam zoo across the street, Nemo museum about 10 minutes walking. Very silent district. No elevator and very narrow and steep stairs. But you must take into consideration that building was build more than 100 years ago. Next time in Amsterdam we will stay... More

Staying in Amsterdam is expensive, but if you’re looking for a place that is a step up from a hostel, still fairly central and reasonably priced – this place fits the bill. The rooms are fine and you can walk or take the conveniently located tram into the city centre. I did have some problems with my reservation as they... More

Just got back home from Hotel Plantage. Lovely building. Stairs are steep, but hey, aren't they all in Amsterdam. You don't like that, then don't book it. Room service IS available upon request. You don't request it, you don't get it - don't complain. The peace and quiet is nice anyhow. Room was fresh. Shower is strange, but floor mop... More
