Really enjoyed this hostel although it was incredibly hard to find. Rooms have a lot of space as well as the bathrooms. It has a nice big breakfast area and lounge, with wifi available. Outside is a nice patio, also very close to museums, Anne Frank House, etc. The staff was friendly, didn't interact very much. More

The place is very clean, since it's a christian shelter, there is an atmosphere of enforced peace in this place, but the place is nice, big, the bathrooms are big and clean, there are plenty of them, rooms are separate for males/females, 6 ppl/ room, free breakfast prepared on the spot, choice of two menus, the receptionist takes a 7/10,... No hot water in November (approx 5°C outside), the voucher system is incredibly annoying, check ins and outs take hours... In a nutshell : don't book anything at this hostel. One interesting fact : one of our friend had to check out one night earlier. Of course, the hostel didn't refund the bed rate but they also sold our friend's... More

Shelter Jordan is an outstanding place to stay. It's kept very clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and it's quiet. The linen was clean, the room is cleaned every day as are the common areas including toilets and showers. While it is a hostel they segregate the sexes. The women are on the 2nd floor and the men on... More

We didn't stay here. Our hotel room was given away and we came here in search of a place to stay but they had no vacancy. Nevertheless, the two guys at the counter were very helpful. They looked up places for us on the internet, got phone numbers for us, and were just awesome in our little emergency of being... More

At first glance, it might seem like a good idea to stay at the Shelter Jordan. Sounds like a pleasant place that's very affordable, right? False! Here's a recommendation: if you want to stay somewhere in Amsterdam that has accommodations comparable to the Shelter Jordan for an even more reasonable price, go out into the city and, when you're ready... This place is really cool with amazing helpful staff. It is very clean and a good value for money. Very safe, but don't forget to bring your own paddlock for the locker... In a quiet area, a bit far from the city center but very close to Anne Franck house. Next to a tram station so it is easily accessible... More
