stayed 2 nights at at this lovely hotel. great design ( in need of a touch up here and there ),great breakfast and service. lights from my second floor room not working at night so had to negotiate them in complete darkness, very tricky. overall i would recommend this hotel.

We have just returned from a short trip to Antwerp staying in the Hotel Matelote. It is in excellent location, with charming, helpful staff, the bedrooms are spotless and well equipped and the breakfast is delicious.

The location for this hotel is superb, steps away from the historical center. The staff was very nice and had helpful suggestions. It is a small hotel and has a very inviting common area. If I were to visit the city, I would definitely stay here again but not in the two story room with the spiral staircase.
