This hotel in Mechelen is located just slightly outside the city center (walking distance). The room was nice. Excellent shower (in tub) - only negative thing about this was that the room of the bathroom got pretty wet after every shower. Too bad it has some (minor) loose ends maintenance wise (lightbulbs needed to be replaced, some had different colors... More

Mechelen was an unexpected find and Martin's Patershof converted church now hotel property. The staff could not have been more accommodating and the included breakfast was great. Our two day stay exceeded our expectations. The room rate for the highest room category was astonishingly low for the value. If you are driving, you should know that the hotel has limited... More

We were really looking forward to staying in this interesting and quirky hotel which we saw had been well recommended by other travellers on TripAdvisor. What we got was the worst hotel experience of our lives. When we arrived at 2pm there was a very large group of young people, maybe 50 or more, all trying to check in at... More

This hotel in it's wisdom and without warning considered it acceptable to have a very large group of young people. The disco started at eleven after a noisy meal and finished at 0300 whereupon highly charged people made lots of noise until 0430. After complaining, the hotel thought it acceptable to offer a glass of complimentary sparkling wine with breakfast.... More

Sleeping in a renovated church is in every way exciting! How does it look like? What does it feel like? Well, one word: good! This hotel is a symbiosis between historical building, contemporary design & service. we had a room in the cloister(109). not too big, not too small, but just right! facilities are available: coffee machine, safe(although the batteries... We were here 1 night with special offer. Rack price of the room: 265€! If they dare ask this you don't expect: slopping cleaning (socks clearly visible under a closet, toilet bowl only superficially clean); 3€ for coffee/tea in the room, no glasses nor wine in minibar (5€ for canned drinks), 15€ for wifi... Very good bed and comfortable quiet... More

Dear PascaldeMeyer, Thank you very much to sent us some feedback after your stay with us. The rack rate is depending of the level of the room and is in every hotel different. It is the highest price for the room. In London, Paris, Milan, New York,... rack rates are sometimes more than 1.000 euro. So this is common in... More

OK but not great - not all rooms (like mine) are as nice as the web photos, for example I only had 2 single beds, pushed together. There was no plug near to the desk, so what's the point of having a desk? - I had to use the 2 sockets near the bed. Nice to have an espresso maker,... More

We stayed for only one night in this converted Friars' church and free parking in a nearby street was ok on a Saturday evening (you can also pay the hotel to park). The conversion has been very well done and although the hotel was well occupied we heard no noise either from the street nor from other occupants. The bed was... More

Wonderful and sympathetic church conversion. Excellent rooms and breakfast facing the altar is a unique experience. parking in Mechelen is not great and the town seems to go to sleep by 9pm If you are visiting the area a stay in this hotel is a must
