Let me begin by saying that I've travelled extensively throughout Europe for the last 20 years, and try to stay at B&B's, homes, and small inns as much as possible. I'm small, polite, modest, and extremely quiet. I acknowledge and respect cultural and linguistic differences. That's why the way I was treated at Residence Les Ecrins came as such a... More

Hello, This review comes as a shock to me. It is true that this person arrived at the hotel at 01.00 pm and that I (Guy) was not there. The housekeeper manager welcomed the guest while I was away, connected me with the guest and made the check-in. I explained through the intercom that I was sorry not to be... More

Les Ecrins is situated in a beautiful area, close to the underground and ten minutes walk to the main square. We chose the cheapest room available at the top floor with shared bathroom. The room was basic with no space except for the double bed and a chair but confortable. We found the shared bathroom clean and warm all the... More

This was a great budget accommodation! Staff was friendly, room clean, and beds decent. Nothing fancy, but priced right. My cousin and I stayed here one night for our whirlwind self-guided walking tour of Brussels. From the central train station, we had an easy time taking the metro two stops to Sainte Catherine. Residence Les Ecrins was about a five... More

We stayed at the Residence Les Ecrins for 3 days while touring around Brussels. This apartment hotel is excellent priced, and has an amazing location. There were 4 of us travelling we were in a 1 bedroom suite with a Queen Bed, and a pull out sofa for my sons who were 11 and 13 at the time. We also... More

My partner had been to Brussels before and been left a little flat. However Les Ecrins is in a beautiful little Quarter with restaurants and bars a plenty and close to a metro. Of course I had read the reviews on TA and focussed on one or two negatives mainly about threadbare towels. Well, the towels were just not fluffy... More

Like many other reviewers, we arrived to Les Ecrins and were upgraded, free of charge, from a regular double room, to a HUGE 1 bedroom suite with a private patio. If a better room is available, Guy will give it to you. What a concept!! He does it right over there in Brussels. I would stay here again and again... More

We booked Les Ecrins because of the many good reviews on TripAdvisor, especially in terms of service. Based on our experience, I can only recommend the single economy rooms. At 65 euros per night with bathroom and including breakfast, they are a very good deal for Brussels. However, for 85 (standard single) or 95 (standard double) euros per night, you’ll... More

My two friends and I (college age) just got back from traveling three months in Europe. Tight budget but we didn’t want hostels. This was on a pretty white washed alley with cobblestones and a five-ten minute walk from the Grand Place....pretty nice part of town, and at the end of the alley is a huge and beautiful church. Rooms... More

We had no idea when we booked how close it was to the fabulous Christmas market! 1/2 block away! That was the icing on the cake. We really enjoyed our stay. Lovely comfortable room, great breakfasts and a very entertaining proprietor, Eddie. We stayed for 3 nights and really did not want to leave. It's in a great neighborhood near... More

Les Ecrins is a great choice if you are looking for a relaxed, familiar, quite, clean and central place in Brussels. It´s near St Cathrine place, one of my favourite areas in Brussels. It´s a very good value for your money if you don´t prefer a fancy place. I will certainly come back! More
