Stayed in Pousada de Santa Luzia for one weekend. Excellent service, with very nice and helpful staff. The location could be better, but still is near enough of the city center. me and my boyfriend stayed at "Pousada de Santa Luzia" for a weekend in May 2009. It may look a little old on the outside, but the rooms are lovely decorated and clean, the staff is very pleasant and the breakfast very complete. We would recomend it.

This apparently was the first state-run pousada in Portugal, dating back to the 1940's. So its history is more as a 1940's period piece than a truly historic property.
