Staff is polite and kind, but most have difficulties speaking English. Overall clean hotel, but kinda old. Breakfast is not good at all, but block table dinner offera nice choices. Location is in the heart of Ponta Delgada so its great. Poor gym and sauna services, unfortunately. More

Our stay The Avenida Hotel was very enjoyable. A clean, quiet environment with everything a traveller needs, all in a super location. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms cleaned promptly every day. Free parking (limited availability). I just wish the WiFi worked a little better, and wasn't limited to the lobby. More

as part of a pilgrimmage tour to Portugal and Spain, we found our selves in this hotel May 31 - June 1st. Our room was on the 4th floor, and we had an amzing view of the port. I discovered a cockroach in my room. It ruined my sleep for the rest of the stay. Room was not very clean anyway. More

The carpet was dirty, you could see nobody had hoovered it before accommodating me there. So was the opinion of other colleagues. What's more, two of them 'met' cockroaches in their rooms!
