After fire in the pilot cocpit on my lufthansa flight we had to make energency landing on the azor islands and ended up at this hotel Beautiful located by the ses with good pool area. Effectuve check in of stranded passangers. Dinner buffet could improve alot. Rooms and area needs a little freching up

nice location but needs badly refurbishing. The outside pool is not heated in winter. The staff is not so friendly and the supposed 10 percent discount on food announced on website was denied senior and more experienced staff would be needed the pictures shown on all websites about this hotel are very different from reality... no queen or king size... There are so many good things about this hotel, the close proximity to the city centre, pleasant staff, beautiful grounds and outdoor pool, and each room has a view of the ocean. I think they need to spend some time and money on renovating a few rooms and the getting rid of the stained carpets!

This is a good hotel at a great place in a bay next to Angra do Heroismo. Service overall was good. The hotel is directly at the sea with a huge garden/pool area. Why there are no sunshades at the pool is mysterious to me though. Also there is a mini bar in the room but it is just empty.... More

Rooms were spacious and clean. Walls are thick. Pool was large with a good poolside bar. Free towels at the pool. The pool water was diluted ocean water!! No chlorine. Excelent view from the balcony overviewng the swimmingpool and the ocean. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The staff were very helpfull and friendly. Free towels at the pool. Lots of beautiful small villages on this island, everywhere it was nice and clean and the buildings well maintained. Can recomend the fishrestaurant in Sao Mateus overviewing the harbour.... More
