We stayed the night of May 4, 2013. This small hotel is on the hillside adjacent to the giant monastery that attracts people to Batalha. The man at the desk (owner?) was friendly and helpful. The room was small with basic furnishings, and there was a small terrace overlooking the monastery. Breakfast was good for continental and most everything was... More

Dear Mr. Paul, Thank you for your review. We are really sorry that your stay in our hotel hasn’t been as quiet as it usually is for our clients. In fact, every year we have an event in Batalha that most locals and hoteliers do not like! It’s in the first weekend of May and it’s a Tuning Party with... More

I spent one night at Casa do Outeiro and was very amazed at how confortable this small hotel was, i felt quite at home, the decoration reminds you of a modern house with alot of books, they have a great looking pool, and the breakfast, although not spectacular, felt very home made with jams and cakes. Plus the location is... More

Thank you very much for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay in our familiar hotel. Our breakfast is really homemade. Odete, the owner, makes most cakes, all jams and marmalades. Our juices are really natural…so we can say it’s a simple breakfast in terms of variety, but with great quality. Hope next time you can spend... More

We like this small hotel for three reasons: 1) Rooms: in making reservations, we request rooms (If I remember, 50 and 51) overlooking the Church which after dark is illuminated and truly spectacular (our 10-year old grandson won a prize for a photo of the church at night), 2) the great restaurant a few steps from the ground floor of... Thank you very much for this comment; thank you for enjoying Batalha and our small hotel. Congratulations to your son for the prize. It would be excellent if you could send us that picture for us to publish in our website. Can you please ask him if he's interested? It would be great. Thanks to your comment we have received... A lot of thought has gone into making this hotel really welcoming and friendly. Everything works as it should (and if it doesn't the proprietor is only too ready to help sort things out). The rooms are good (some have wonderful views over the cathedral) and the breakfast excellent. Very good value for money.

We stopped overnight in Batalha during our road trip in Portugal. There isn't too much happening in this small town except the amazing monastery which is walking distance to the hotel. The rooms have a home feel to it, little bookshelf, vintage tables etc. Bed's not the most comfy but overall it's clean, includes breakfast and has great views -... More

This is a very comfortable hotel run by a very friendly family. The mother, "Tia Odete", produces the home-made fruit liqueurs (self-service in the foyer), the lovely jams and jellies, the paintings on the walls, and the craft work which is for sale. The breakfast was wonderful (unless you are absolutely determined to have a cooked breakfast, that is) -... More

Amazingly well priced, this modern, clean, comfortable hotel is a real find. Our room, overlooking the monastery (particularly lovely at sunrise, but pretty good at sunset too, and all the moments in between - oh and after dark!) had high ceilings, good internet and a generous bathroom (no bath, but very good shower). Breakfasts are amazing - lovely breads, home... More

It has a central location in the city so we can walk everywhere. The workers are very friendly.the swimming pool is small but still great for relax moments in the end of the day. Breakfast was great! Doesn't have restaurant so we have to lunch and dine out.

This hotel is a real find. It is an attractive modern building and the decor is beautiful - original pieces of art and sculpture everywhere. Very modern, bright, well furnished. It deserves to be expensive but it is very reasonable, A perfect location for touring around the area and seveeral decent restaurants within a couple hundred yards. Nice pool, well equiped gym and very good breakfast. Our room on the third floor overlooked the church which is a very dramatic sight.
