My husband and I stayed here for a few days as he was attending a conference in the hotel. For business use it is probably OK, but from my point of view it is situated too far from downtown, although the metro is easy to use and only 15 mins walk from the hotel to the Metro Zoological. This is... More

Put up here by TAP because of the myopic action of Portugal's air traffic controllers - they really wanted to show their country in a good light and encourage people to visit (not !!). The majority of the hotel is OK although the sound proofing is not great, either from the planes (when they are actually flying) or the adjacent... More

Rooms were quite delightful with just a tad of a downward rating for the shower fittings. Here we found the dreaded powdered eggs at breakfast bufet (of course we were on a bus tour). But the hotel banquet food at dinner we found to be delish - and that's not a guaranteed commodity on tours. It was lovely to stay... More

Have visited this hotel twice in recent weeks. I generally like the Marriott brand and whilst the room on the first visit was very good and of the usual Marriott standard the second was less so. The room on the 8th floor seemed to be a stripped down version of the normal - no minibar (there was a note in... More

lots of tourists, though. But the real strong point of this hotel are conventions and similar company meetings. We, as tourists, lacked some details because your nededs are quite different when you travel this way. In fact, on a business trip would have been much better. Best: the attention of the hotel people. Besides, they all speak perfect american english, which... More

I think it's been said before here: this is a typical business hotel not near anything. On the plus side, it's clean, and the staff were very nice. The bed's very comfortable, and you can walk to the metro station (maybe 10-15 mins away, downhill, 1.25 Euro each way downtown). The area seems safe enough, and the metro is very... More

The hotel is a little dated and is more or less a business hotel than a vacation destination. It is only about 10 minutes from the airport and a 30 min walk to downtown. More

We spent two nights at the Marriott in Lisbon recooperating from our 15 hours of flying. Our room was quiet, spotlessly clean, spacious and very comfortable. We ate in the dining room one night and had the buffet which included a huge assortment of fresh salads, a variety of home made breads and rolls, a dessert table with lots of... More

Great location for downtown Lisbon, either via Taxi, or even the Metro (a 10 minute walk away). Rooms big, clean, and staff helpful. Gym is very usable, and the outdoor pool looks great (didn't have the time to use it!) Cant comment on any of the food as I always ate out, as the town is close by. Great for... More

I don't understand how a hotel who clearly caters to the business trade (ie. not close to the city center or any tourist attractions) can charge the outrageous fee of 24.95 Euro for internet access in your room. I certainly would not have stayed at Marriotts as I did for more than 20 years if I had relied on the... More
