“Good stay with a great host”

Pierre made our stay comfortable and welcoming. We arrived several hours earlier than he had anticipated, but he was able to help with our bags (there is no lift and steep stairs) and then invited us for tea and biscuits while we settled the formalities. The owner was friendly. The room was satisfactory. The previous evening the owner asked us what time we would like breakfast. In the morning there was no breakfast. Booked this b&b on line. When we arrived the outside of this b&b was so dirty and run down looking I refused to go in. My husband rang the door bell and went inside.
