The Golden Age hotel was newly renovated with a modern entrance. I would call it a 4-1/2 star only because of what I'll describe later. Our room was "roomy" enough and we had a balcony overlooking the street but the room was well-insulated from noise. That evening we walked thru the old--part of Athens ....narrow streets but cars & motorbikes... More

Golden age hotel is a very clean, good located hotel in Michalakopolou street, with is very close to downtoun but in very quiet and "safe" area. The room was very clean, but for a 4 star hotel, was not spacious enough and the decoration was old, with carpeted floor. The bathroom was old and extremely small and there was no... More

Nice hotel, easy to reach from the airport and only two Metro stations from Syntagma. Friendly staff, rooms look nice. But... ..paper thin walls, you can hear every word of the conversation next door. That just doesn't do it frrm me.

Great central location in downtown Athens, courteous and helpful staff, clean and modern room and amenities, copious and delicious breakfast, including Greek specialties. We would definitely stay there again!

This was our first trip to Greece and Athens. We enjoy walking and so looked for a hotel within a 30 min walk from the major tourist attractions of Athens, specifically the Acropolis. We wanted to be near Lycabettus hill which gives the best views of Athens and so we narrowed our search for a hotel down to that area.... More

Very nice and clean hotel, close to metro station and Music Concert Hall, yet the rooms are not very spacy. The hotel stuff was very polite and always helpful. The breakfast bouffet was very good. The neighbourhood is OK but very noisy due to the traffic.

Good hotel. I'd not rate it as a four stars...probably ***S is the most appropiate rating. My room view was not good, but room was quite clean. Quite good location, close to some restaurants....choose it if price is good

The location is excellent, just a short walk from the metro station! Also, one of the safest areas in Athens. Good value for money, but you can tell that the hotel is old! It was clean, and the little chocolate treat was a pleasant surprise! The breakfast was OK. CONS: You don't call a 128k internet "free", you call it... More

We stayed at the Golden Age for 3 nights. We stayed two consecutive nights, went on a 6 day cruise, then stayed one more night before returning to the U.S. The location is excellent for the metro station. We walked a few blocks and were able to access the whole city. The metro is very easy to navigate. The Hotel... More

It is in a great central location with the centre and Parthenon all in walking distance. Modern and clean rooms and a restaurant which good but very expensive. The air conditioning didn't work at all so we had to have the windows open and there the central location becomes a problem because Athenian traffic noise is dreadful and there doesn't... More

Dear Sir, Thank you for writing your reveiw here on Trip Advisor. I would like to personally appologise for the problem you encountered during your stay in regard to the air conditioning. Unfortunately during spring and autumn (periods not considered hot or cold) our central air conditioning system is operated by request, in which case we would have gladly turned... More
