The Alma is handy if arriving at Kifissou 100 bus station (its close to local bus 51 route) or Syndagma (15 mins). Good reductions available off-season but the peak rate of 100 Euros for our twin room is ridiculous. The room was ok and bathroom above average for Greece budget accommodation (it had a shower curtain) but the problem is... More

This hotel is central, by Omonia Square, and not too noisy. It's basic but everything worked and was clean. Yes the 'breakfast' of toast and coffee is poor but no we saw no drug taking at all in 5 days there. It's safe and the restaurant next door reasonable. More

Obviously, there is nothing to add. 20 euro per night is a good price, especially, when the hotel is in the city center. For me it was a base for city trip, so I've arrived there at night. Omonia square is famous to be dangerous at night, and I've experienced evil looks from homeless, drug addicts, simply drunk and street... More

I went to this hotel with my sister, we are both female in our mid 20's. I arrived at this hotel with very very very low expectations, because of reading other reviews. i was expecting a dirty room in a hotel in a druggy infested alleyway. the room was clean but the alleyway was indeed full of people on drugs,... large building right beside this hotel is some kind of hostel for drug addicts. street full of drug additcs-i saw 3 unconscious people in the street in only a few hours. numerous others walking around doped up, dealinga nd openly using drugs. my ten yearold son was so upset by it all (he was worried about his safety) that we... I stayed 3 times in this hotel Why ? Because is very cheap..... Situated in central Athens... Good connection to the Airport, Piraeus Port and Main bus Terminal to Greece... Hotel is Old. Without view, Without extra service.....but......staff was fine, breakfast was continental (bread, butter, cheese, jam, tea or coffee, orange nektar - not juice) First time, I spent 27... More

Dreadful place - Sustained flea bites from room - surly staff who suddenly develop lack of understanding when asked awkward questions - outside area populated by drug addicts and prostitutes night and day. Do not stay here. More

good for two nights max. doggy neighbourhood, prostitutes behind the hotel, druggies were overtly shooting up outside the hotel. yet felt pretty safe, the area is actually well policed, but i dear say they turn a blind eye to the latter. the hotel is clean, and comfortable. Breakfast (bread) was stale. but you get what you pay. More

Like all the others who say don't stay me i wouldn't have let my dog stay here, thou if you manage to find the hotel just to look at "don't stay" there is a wonderful taverna just round the corner from it. Just wanted out so never stayed to experience the breakfast but managed to find a wee cafe that... More

I know this is a budget hotel. But the place was exceedingly shabby, the beds were rock hard, the breakfast consisted of a slice of dry bread and watered down juice or coffee. The area was the worst we have ever encountered - drug addicts lying about on the pavement outside with syringes and prostitutes plying their trade right outside... More
