We stayed at the AVA hotel in May this year. We had a suite with a bedroom and large living room with kitchen area and facilities. The hotel is very close to the Acopolis and Museum, the National Gardens and tons of eating and shopping choices. The room comes with a great breakfast. The staff was very helpful. We highly... More

A beautiful boutique hotel in an excellent location. Quiet, surrounded by good bars and restaurants, and short walk to major sites. Recommend staying in a larger appartment; well-equipped and spacious. Lovely staff; friendly and helpful. More

Super hotel, great location, lovely suite with terrace and views of the Acropolis, Adrian's Arch, and Temple Of Zeus. All the staff were excellent and really tried to make you welcome. More

I selected this hotel based on the Trip advisor reviews Upon entering the hotel, I was very disappointed by the lobby which is done in a homely style, a cheap panelling of wood on the wall with a glittering floor. The adjacent breakfast room is furnished with outdated furniture and the lounge area is not inviting at all. The elevator... More

First of all we would like to thank our guest for all positive comments regarding our staff and location and we are happy to hear that he concur with most of the positive points expressed in the previous reviews. We fully respect every personal view vis-à-vis our lobby and associated areas. One cannot argue about impressions or tastes in decoration.... More

We found AVA through Tripadvisor and were not disappointed. We arrived off a cruise boat and got a taxi there for about 25 euro. The staff were very helpful in storing our bags and providing the tickets etc for the Athens Experience package we had preordered. A warning on this package - we were told the Greek food tasting would... More

We stayed at the Ava for two nights on 2 and 3 May and we have nothing but praise for this small boutique hotel. First of all, the staff are fantastic - extremely friendly and helpful – whether it was arranging cabs, indicating the nearest bank on the hotel’s excellent map or suggesting restaurants (Strofi was a great suggestion: thanks... Everything in this hotel was absolutely great, no complaints or even small things to improve. Very attentive service, large and beautifully designed rooms, location is very convenient and central. We walked everywhere except for a few taxi drives to special restaurants we went to. We stayed at AVA in March 2012 and should have written a review earlier. Thank you,... More

Our room was the size of a small apartment, our spacious verandah was so close to the Acropolis that (if I was a baseball player) I could have hit it with a baseball, and the staff was over-the-top helpful. You also could not ask for a better location. It is enough off the Plaka that things remain pretty quite, but... More

Maria at the front desk is gracious and helpful. Hotel is very convenient for seeing sites in the Plaka area. One block from the Arch and Temple of Zeus. Two blocks from good restaurants. Very clean and quiet. Looks much better than other hotels in the area. About a 20 minute taxi ride to airport. We travel a lot and... More

We loved this hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for visiting the ancient sites. The decor was lovely. The only caveat is that breakfast is not included. I highly recommend this hotel. More
