My wife and I stayed at Varonos on the advice of Frommers' guide to Greece. For reasons I don't understand, the hotel is not among those recommended in Rick Steves' guide. It should be. Not only is it very comfortable and conveniently located in the center of Delphi, it is quite economical. In addition, the family that runs the hotel...

Our view was spectacular. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The lobby is kitschy, but in a gorgeous and warm way. The location is prime, just a couple minutes from the bus stop and an easy 15-minute walk to the Delphi museum and ruins.
Most importantly, the family is exceedingly helpful. They provided great restaurant recommendations, information about visiting...

We recently visited Delphi for a three-day vacation trip. We decided not to book in advance but check a few hotels and decide on-spot. I should mention that hotels in Delphi feel old and worn (and that's probably because they indeed are; the place gets scores of visits throughout the year and I don't think any new hotel has been...

In the gorgeous center of the world that is Delphi lies the gem of Hotel Varonos. We were in a sweet little room that looked out onto the main street, and were welcomed with a little complimentary bottle of wine! Everyone was super nice and the breakfast was perfect! Right on the main street, you're within walking distance of just...

I love travelling. In fact, I am constantly travelling around the world. Back in December, I took a European vacation. Thought it would be great for the Christmas holidays. One of the highlights of my European vacation was Hotel Varonos. I loved the old world charm. Plus it was so warm and inviting. The woodwork in the hotel was absolutely...

I stayed there for the second time recently, the purpose of my visit being skiing in the nearby pistes of Mount Parnassos, but avoid paying the extortionate rates of the "alpine" resort of Arachova.
The hotel has a very promising lobby, with a very welcoming fireplace. The rooms are rather small and basic with outdated decoration. However, they are tidy,...

We stayed here for 2 nights during a Greek vacation. The owner is wonderful! The rooms had balconies and we enjoyed happy hour there in the evenings. The rooms were clean and adequate. Good breakfast. We walked to the ruins from the hotel. the town is a tourist trap so make sure you get restaurant recommendations from the owner. I...

Tons of similar hotels in Delphi but this one did not disappoint. Big bed with a balcony cost extra than what they have on hostelworld (what I booked through) so be sure to email and ask about that or mention it when you get there. Internet is an extra fee. Delphi is a relatively small town with 1 main street....
