We stayed at Danaos and requested a room overlooking the beach. It was perfect because we could sit out on our patio, have a cold beer and watch everyone on the beach. “A charming laid-back retreat right on the lovely beach”

This hotel is family run and the owner is a very charming and helpful man - English good and assisted me with various enquiries. The Breakfast was substantial and as it was late in the season there was only 1 member of staff, who was a very cheerful and charming Russian lady - she did breakfast, reception and the cleaning!... Yes, this hotel has a great location on the Nea Hora beachfront with everything very close and only a short walking distance from Hania center, but no, you wouldn´t want a room from the back side of the hotel. Beautiful beaches out front, clean rooms, excellent breakfast, tavernikas with authentic greek food line the streets, within walking distance of old hania shopping market, very reasonable prices compared to most places in that area, excellent service, dependable and honest family owned business, and great views from rooms! A must stay! More
