The sisters who run this small hostel are awfully kind. Anna gave me easy-to-follow directions to get to the bus stop near the hostel, met me there, and then walked me to the two-bedroom, six bed, basement apartment serving as hostel. I should also mention that the area of the city is convenient, has amenities nearby and is quite safe... More

“Very clean and private little hostel”

The only hostel I could find for Thessaloniki was Backpacker's Refuge. At first I was surprise of how small it was, but the owner Anna, have made it as warm and homely as possible. She is also good for information around the city and helped me arrange transport to Athens. You can contact Anna [--]. More

Although it is more like a house and less than a hostel, it provides a good stay. It is very clean and feels like a home for the backpacker. At 15 euro per night, it's by far the best value in town.
