After touring the island we wanted to stay a night in the town before next afternoons ferry. Before returning the car I drove to end of waterfront and parked right outside the door of this hotel. I didn't like the look of the room but it led onto a spacious terrace (altho shared with 3 other sea-facing rooms) overlooking the... More

The owner of the hotel is a real asset. He is extremely helpful, kind and caring. However it seems that the rooms have not been renovated for half a century. The breakfast is delicious and good variety. The location is very central with many options for dining and other amenities. I recommend this hotel for a short stay (1-2 nights).... More

Chios is a busy harbor town, and the Hotel Kyma is a great historic mansion a few blocks from the center of town, right on the water. The host was terrifically helpful not only planning our time in Chios but also about Turkey, our next stop - his wife is Turkish. The views are great and the breakfasts were the... More

We read all sorts of wonderful things about this hotel and its owner. The information about the owner proved true, as he is a wealth of information about the island, attentive, and very helpful. The hotel, on the other hand, needs some help. We stayed in a corner room in the "modern" wing, though there was little modern about it.... More

I appeared there with no reservation and luckily they had room. It is absolutely a great place to stay. I selected a side room and do not regret that decision. It is close a a public beach, the harbor and a very lively area yet, very quiet at night. I loved the fact that I could see the street and... More

Booked this hotel on the strength of reviews here. Not at all what I was expecting. The place is in a state of complete disrepair, not very clean, and doesn't feel safe for lone female traveler. Doors barely lock. Entrance open 24/7 with sometimes no one at front desk. Plaster actually falling off the wall onto your head in bed... More

Hotel Kyma is located near the port and town beach. Although it is near the port it is at least a 25 minutes walk to the ferry berth, that is located on the opposite site of the harbor. Kyma is a small hotel the offers an excellent price/quality ratio. It was a former mansion and is now adapted to an... More

Hotel Kyma is a short walk from where our boat docked in the lovely port area. The staff is kind and very helpful. The hotel shows signs of the renovation from an old mansion to the current hotel. The beds were very comfortable, but it doesn't have all the most modern amenities. For example, the shower doesn't have a curtain.... More

The Hotel Kyma feels more like a large B&B than a hotel. It is about a 20 minute walk from the ferry terminal, but since it follows along the charming waterfront, it was a very pleasant walk. The owner speaks at least three languages (we heard him speak Greek, English and German). The room was sparse but functional, had simple... More

It took a while to find the hotel and having arrived by boat it was a 10-15 min walk along the harbour side but this was far from unpleasant. We had a room looking out to sea with a large balcony and wonderfully high ceilings. The room itself was more spacious than many others I have stayed in although the... More
