Spent a lovely weekend in Copenhagen staying at the Radisson Blu Royal. Very friendly and efficient check-in staff. Concierge extremely helpful when I had a problem. Room was great with a good view over the Tivoli Gardens. Bed very comfortable. Excellent cleaning of the room. Large choice of foods for breakfast. Used the restaurant on the ground floor one evening... More

The location of the hotel is great, right in the centre and near the station. It is right opposite Tivoli Gardens which our 2 adjoining rooms overlooked. The rooms were huge and very clean with flat screen tvs and modern decor whilst the hotel maintains its Arne Jacobsen theme which we loved- even bought a little Jacobsen model chair! The... More

We are an Australian expat family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children, 6 and 4 years old). We had a family room which consisted of a large bedroom with sofabed for the children and a king bed, a large bathroom (separate bath from shower), separate toilet and large closet with iron, ironing board, safe, etc. and plenty of room for... The Radisson Royal is well located a few minutes walk from the central train station, Tivoli and Stroget and there are excellent public transport links to the city and the region. The iconic decor of the public areas and the bedrooms is mid-20c Arne Jacobsen modernism and a delight in many ways (although perhaps not to all tastes). The large... More

Very nice hotel. Our standard room was small but had a beautiful view from 17th floor. Modern room and ok beds. Bathroom good, though don't like shower in a bathtub. Very nice breakfast. Located next to Tivoli and train station. Short walk to the shopping area. Overall - a good choice in Copenhagen. More

Well located, spacious rooms, great amenities----can be claimed by many properties. The Royal has all that and more. Every single staff member we encountered was proactively helpful, engaging, and sincerely desirous of delivering a 5 diamond experience. They upgraded us to a spacious corner room. Meals were superb. By American standards, it is not the Ritz, Danish design austerity abounds.... More

The hotel is perfectly located across the Tivoli, the Central Train Station, and really close to the Rådhusplassen ( City Hall Square). A mere 3 minutes walk takes you to the main shopping street of CPH. The hotel itself lookes a bit old from outside, not even taking down the old SAS sign at the top. But running 20 stories... More

It's not exceptional in any way. It's not extra luxury, or extremely well designed. The restaurant is average and rather un-even in quality. Still, I always feel like coming home when I enter into this place. I guess it's a question of charm and self confidence built into the walls. I will keep coming back to you, promise. More

Very basic and did not leave an impression, book at this hotel if you want standard economical rates. Staff can be trained to be more friendlier at the front desk. More

We chose this hotel specifically for its architectural history, having been designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955 as the SAS Royal Hotel. There are still original traces of that classic modern design thoughout the lobby and publis spaces, and within the guest rooms. The location is ideal, literally across the street from Tivoli Gardens and walking distance to Nyhavn and... More
