This is the second time we stay at a Guldsmeden Hotel and we love it. This hotel has excellent location only 10 minutes walk from the Copenhagen train station. Hotel bikes are available for rent (remember to book them, they run out fast) and easily take you around to all attraction and parks. The patio on the backside is beautiful... More

I guess I wanted too much... I thought this may be the very best hotel in CPH (according to my likings) with a very high ecological standard. And it has a very high ecological standard, but it throws it in your face at any given chance. The signs of "This is very ecologic!" are on every towel, napkin, soap, wherever..... More

Note! This review is based on a stay back in july 2009. Organic food, rooms with four-poster beds and large bathrooms, and a central location in the heart of Copenhagen describes this lovely hotel. The service was very good as well. We had a superb stay!

The hotel is located near the central station which makes getting around easy if you don't want to all. Breakfast fantastic. Two small things that could be better- free water in the bedroom and more Temp control in the rooms. It was so hot it meant the wonderfully comfort bed were without duvets, and this was in a brisk April.... More

Absolutely delightful room with a great ambiance and excellent bed. It had a nice eco vibe and a tiny balcony that overlooked the street. I stayed in a double room for one night. The room was pretty small and I didn't have breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Staff were great, and really funny! Close proximity to the train station and Trivoli gardens. The hotel is in the red light area, but dont let that phase you, theres a strip club on the same street, and the odd prostitute maybe seen, but its nothing to worry about, the danes' attitude... Stayed 4 nights, yes the area was slightly seedy but we had no problems and were moving through there quite a bit after dark. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful and courteous. The room was on floor 5 and was reasonably well equipped, well stocked mini bar but no tea/coffee or kettle. Beds were comfortable... More

Stayed there in the first week of April 2013. Arrived at Copenhagen Central station around 1am and hotel is short walk away, but was not aware of the reputation of the area till I walked through it. It is labelled as an organic hotel, and that is very clear throughout the hotel and especially at breakfast which is highly recommended.... More
