The best thing about this hotel is its location right in the centre of Östersundom! The pedestrian streets are around the corner and are full of nice shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, the shops closed between 3 and 4 p.m. on the Saturday I was in town! The airport bus stop is a stone's throw from the hotel. My room (319)... More

The only two positive things worth mentioning about this hotel is that it’s centrally located in the right in middle of Östersund and that the front desk service is okay. The rooms are boring, very dark and gloomy and look like it’s been decorated in the sixties. Everything is either black or dark brown. The breakfast is also boring. According... More

Östersund is a lovely, cosy city - but one will want to avoid ruining the experience by booking a room at Scandic over the weekend - (Fri- Sunday). The reason has been brought up in previous reviews, but it cannot be stressed enough: you will NOT have a pleasant night's sleep. The hotel cosists of five floors, and every floor... More

This hotel is in a very central location in downtown Östersund. Rooms are perfectly okay, only the beds at Scandic hotels (this seems to be true for all hotels of the chain) are very soft, you really sink in and it was not comfortable for me. Breakfast is nice (and included in the room rate) and the internet wireless works... More

I'd recommend this hotel to families looking for a short city stay in Ostersund. Its well located to the city centre and the rooms are what you expect from a scandic hotel, clean simple and functional if a little small. It had a nice unsupervised play room which kept our 2 entertained after breakfast for 30 mins whilst we could... More

It started just after arrival and then it kept going on... When we arrived after 240 km in a car, as our room wasn't ready, we liked to go visit the ladies and gents but we got the answer that the hotel hasn't any, anyway not until 3pm when the restaurant opened said the man in the front office (later,... Large rooms and bathrooms and a lovely breakfast with many alternatives of high quality food. The staff was very nice and helpful, and made you feel welcome. Prices were high, both for rooms, parking and in the bar. The hotel itselves was very classy, but most of the guests during the summer time is ordenary people, mostly families from around... More

I have been a bit "severe" in my rating. There is actually little to pin down, a good hotel, location is in the middle of the centre, and the parking is free! And there was a bath tub (which is rare to see nowadays). The breakfast buffet is great, with a lot of local and ecological products. The thing is,... More

Breakfast is excellent, location is very central. Rooms are very outdated even though they have renovated it. The pictures on their site are misleading. The heating in my room could not be switched off.. In weekend there is a busy disco downstairs in the hotelbar and breakfast room. Lots of noise on the street also in the morning when they... More

Finding the hotel was a breeze. Central location, close to trains and buses. Having booked a room with a cot (was traveling with wife and our one year old) I was a bit miffed when the room only contained a double bed and a sofa (probably a fold out), but no cot. A quick call to reception brought the cot... More
