It was a great time in August 08 actually , with fireworks on the last day of summer, with boat trips, with many swedish specialities in the city, beautiful Arlanda airport. The Lord Nelson is small, but it is mentioned everywhere when you book it. It is such a lovely little place, breakfast was really nice and I liked the... More

This is a great concept: A hotel fitted like a ship. Your room is a small cabin, perfectly furnished. Tiny yet very comfortable. It has what you need, and no more. Don't expect any frills. No gym, no luxuries. Included is a simple self-service breakfast, with everything I desired. This is a perfect wee hideyhole smack right in the middle... More

The churchbells from Storkyrkan call every 15 minutes. Even in the night. If you do not like the sound, stay somewhere else. If you enjoy beeing in a place whith soul and peace - go to Lord Nelson. Situated in Ignatiigränd, named after a publisher Ignatii many hundred years ago, this is the narrowest hotel in the city, and in... More

Cosy hotel located in the Old Town of Stockholm. Unfortunately that was the only acceptable part. Small rooms, I'm actually happy i didn't have a full size luggage, and lousy lightening in the room. Plain and simple breakfast served and internet only against payment. Didn't fulfill my needs. More

I have stayed in a few hotels in Stockholm over the past year and this one is defintely my favourite yet. From arriving at the hotel the staff were warm and welcoming, pointing me in the direction of the best local eaterie and finding me an adaptor from another hotel nearby. The rooms are small, but full of character. There... More

I stayed at the Lord Nelson for two nights in October 2011. The hotel has a highly developed nautical theme right down to the floors having deck names. Every detail in the hotel has been thoroughly design to give a ship-like feeling. The place is dripping with atmosphere and is very cosy. Staff was very friendly and nice. The location... More

The Nelson, located in the nicest part of Old Stockholm, Gamla Stan. It´s the narrowest hotel building in the city, less than six meters wide. Rooms are accordingly small. But really nice! Pretty woodwork, faultlessly clean, nice breakfast and staff, maritime interior. Quaint, but not corny. Stayed there a couple of times when visiting Stockholm the last few years, Always... More

This tiny hotel is right in the most central part of Stockholm, walking distance from public transport and on a pedestrian street dense with shops and bars/restaurants. The rooms are small but very cozy, the place resembles an old ship and is well looked after. Good continental breakfast. Good reception desk service. More

Just like on a real ship, the rooms in this nautical-themed hotel are small. So what. Don't stay in the room when you're in Stockholm! Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was just OK. Best benefit is location. Less than two blocks from the palace and about five from the metro. More

Those of us who stay in a range of different hotels in different countries would probably struggle to remember details of them a few months down the line. I’m certain that one hotel everybody will remember will be this one – and in my case it will be for all the right reasons. Those that stay there with an up-front... More
