Stayed here for 2 weeks with work. Hotel is nice and personalised, in good central location 10 min walk to Drottningatan (main shopping st), friendly staff, really good breakfast. The only drawbacks are that the gym is only ok and the rooms are tiny with no storage facilities. It is therefore quite expensive for you get. More

We booked this as we were visiting Stockholm for a city break. The hotel is in a good location about a 25-30 minute walk from the main shopping area and waterfront, or alternatively a very short metro ride. Check in was quick and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good and the free internet access in the... More

This hotel is definitely not worth what you pay for. My single room was the smallest room I have ever stayed in (even during my student years). A tiny bed that was all. Not even if this would have been a monastery or a small hotel in Tokyo it would have been okay. Yes, it was clean and yes it... More

Dear Professor Gothenburg I have read your criticism on my hotel. I would like to know more about your visit to Hellsten, because I cannot recognize what you forward in your review. You are angry because you feel the room you got was too small. But you have booked a small single room and you got a small single room.... More

This historic hotel is in a nice, older part of town and within walking distance (12 blocks) of many things to see and do. It has been renovated but we found the rooms to be very small and the bathroom to be tiny. Several couples were in our group, and they all complained about their small rooms, low ceilings, and... I was in September in Stockholm for a meeting of oncologists. I was booked into this hotel. It is situated in the busy didtrict of Stockholm.in a street just parallel to the main shopping district street. The hotel is on a cobble stone street. the entrance is like a small street. The checkin is a sweet spot and friendly. Ther is... More

I found this hotel to be quite unique with respect to other hotel/b&b's. It has a mini-pub within the hotel, nicely decorated lounge with some antiques etc., The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. I was told that it is one of the oldest hotels in the town and has been traditionally maintained. More points because of the continental breakfast... More

I stayed at Hellsten Hotel after having some rough time to find a room given a conference taking place at the time. I read some reviews in Trip Advisor saying the rooms were too small, but I'm familiar with hotel rooms in Europe, so I decided to stay there anyway. It was the best choice. The hotel is 2 underground... More

We spent two nights at the Hellsten Hotel and recommend it most highly. The reception staff were extremely professional and helpful and provided a lot of assistance over the course of stay. The Hotel is in a heritage building, so things are connected oddly in places. But the rooms are quaint (we were in attractive top floor garrett) and well-furnished.... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel's ambience. The staff were warm and friendly, the location was excellent for walking or using public transport (it took around 15 minutes walking at a brisk pace to get back from the harbour). The breakfast wasn't as extravagant as a 4* in Stockholm I'd stayed in previously, but it... More
