By reading different reviews of this hotel, I did not have any special expectations. When I arrived and saw the room, it was not that bad as it is said in most of the reviews. The room was ok just for 1 person and the small bathroom was also not a problem. The hotel is old. Even the rooms have... More

Our room certainly had nothing to do with the photos on the hotel website, I could more easily accept what I got had I known what to expect. The worst thing was the tiny bathroom where nothing prevented water from spreading all over the floor when taking a shower. The bathroom tiling was worn out and looked a bit dirty... More

The hotel was very clean and lovely. I went in a group and we stayed in 5 rooms. Our bathroom was spacious but the rooms ending with odd numbers had very cramped bathrooms. The hotel is just around the corner from Svartbäckgatan and a 3 minute walk from Stora Torget, the main plaza but the area is still very quiet.... More

Stayed here for one night on business. The hotel is only ok, nothing special. The room was clean and modern. The hotel does not have much character, there seems to be many rooms on each floor, but the hotel was very quiet and I hardly heard anyone else on the floor. The breakfast is quite disappointing, not much choice. It's... More

This is the second hotel I have stayed at in Uppsala and my question is, are they all old dormitories? The lobby was nice and the staff friendly. But the room hardly fit two twin size beds and the bathroom must have been an afterthought. This should be called a youth hostel. And, no parking space. More

I stayed at the First Hotel Linne for only one night and I should say that I wouldn't have fancied a longer stay. The main reason for that was my unpleasant experience with the bathroom. It had some hair on the floor and even stuck to the wall - which felt so incredibly filthy! Moreover, the large towel supposedly was... More

We booked a " superior double room" and got a student dormitory-like one instead. We reacted strongly and they tried to convince us that this was indeed what a superior room should be like. After insistence on our side we eventually were transferred to a room closer to what one could expect for the corresponding price. Very strange, considering Swedish... More

Great location, very helpful staff, lovely bar and eating area - really, the quirky deco and location are great. The lomg corridor of rooms and promise of view of the botanic gardens were a bit of a shame. But clean and tidy. Not 100% scandinavian chic, but actually very nice. More

Pro's: location convenient to old part of town Radiant heating in bathroom floors Modern sinks Breakfast buffet with eggs and full Swedish Beds with pillow top Helpful staff CON'S: no parking (lucky if get one of 6 on street spots) College dorm rooms complete with 60's furniture including study desk No bedside tables Hallways that are "blocks long", institutional Bath... There seems to be a big difference in the size and quality of the rooms. I had a superior double room and it was quite big with a seating area, a fridge (not minibar), a bathtub... Breakfast was also quite nice, with different kinds of eggs, bacon etc More
