The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of the Reykjavik city center. This 3 star hotel provides everything one would expect for a reasonable price. Continental breakfast is included and the rooms are very clean. I stayed in a single room which was somewhat small, but there is no need to spend much time in the room anyway. Overall... More

We just returned from a 7 night stay at the Best Western (Hotel Reykjavik). The hotel is a few blocks from the city center, a nice walk through some residential areas. Our room was small but comfortable, although way too warm. Throughout our stay, we had to turn off the thermostat and open a window. There was no dresser in... More

A good hotel if you want to be in the centre though this is on the other end of the main road with all the cafes, shops and restaurants. The reception staff were very helpful, always on hand to offer recommendations even gave me pain killers when the nearest chemist was close. There's no restaurant for dinner but there is... More

Nice, clean and peaceful hotel. A little out of the center but within a reasonable walking distance. The overall impression was little outdated. However I felt, that I got good value for my money. I stayed in a single room which was smallish and the bed was too narrow. That's why I recommend, that also the solo travelers should consider... More

It is easy to complaint about hotels that are in the mid range budget, howevwe we found this hotel to be clean, well srtaffed and very comfortable. The furniture seemed a liitle dated The restaurant in the hotel is well worth a visit as is Harry's next door. More

the hotel is clean and rooms warm. it is a 20 minute walk into the centre but 15 mins of that is past shops on the longest shopping street in town.Bit of a pain when coming in from all day trip to walk into town for night.Plenty of food for breakfast all be it continental.Worth getting delux room as these... decent hotel...not much to it. It is right in the center of town so you can walk everywhere. the breafast is average but the rooms are clean. hot water which is nice- barely 3 channels to watch on tv. It served its purpose by being a bed to sleep on- was not in the room much anyway. the staff was... More

March 2012. It was clean and warm and fairly centrally located. The room & bathroom (shower room) was perhaps a bit smaller than I'd expected from looking at the pics on the web. Breakfast was disappointing. No hot food at all other than a make it yourself waffle machine & a toaster so B&B should maybe be described as continental... More

Where to take our friend in February for her 50th birthday. Of course Iceland. We booked a package and chose this hotel. The situation is ideal within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is scrupulously clean with adequate bedrooms for a city break and very attentive reception staff. The "included" breakfast was substantial and tasty... More

Stayed at the Best Western as part of an Icelandair vacation package and couldn't really have asked for a better deal -- location was great as only steps to the beginning of Laugavagur Street (sp?). Breakfast was varied and delicious - not a massive spread of bacon, eggs, potatoes etc that some may expect, but definitely sufficient and good quality... More
