Good hotel outside the city centre. Little rooms, little bathrooms, but very clean, and nice view to the ocean. Breakfast excellent. Pleasant 20-25 minutes walk to Laugavegur, the main shopping street. Lot of sights in the city, Hallgrimskirkja, Perlan, Kristkirkja, beautiful little houses everywhere with coloured roofs. Wonderful view from the top of Hallgrimskirkja. Lot of excursions from Reykjavik, to... More

We stayed at Hotel Cabin in May 2012 as a part of our visit to Iceland. We found the hotel very convenient in terms of location & quality of the rooms. Here's our review in detail: Location Located in Borgartuni, the hotel is equidistant from the Reykjavik's main shopping street & the Kringlang mall. Both being a small 15 min... More

The hotel was OK. The room we had was really small and so was the TV. But it was clean and there was hot running water which is the main thing for me. The hotel is about a 20 to 30 minute walk to the centre of Reykjavik which is fine with us as it didn't get dark until really... More

This 3 star property has all you need for a short visit to Iceland. I got a 3 night deal on Expedia for 65 pounds in a deluxe room. It was well worth the extra 4 pounds for the room as it had a fridge and bath. Entry level rooms don't. Internet is 15 euro for a FULL 24 hours... More

We had booked a deluxe room, but they upgraded us to 7th floor where are the superior rooms. Sleep quality was excellent, the view was to the city (not to the sea tho) and the room had a huge window. The rooms on first and second floor did not look so good, so please make sure you request room from... More

Ok so this is basically - you get what you pay for. Obviously it's a budget hotel but didn't expect it to be that basic. Very tiny room. Location is ok - walkable to city centre in 10 mins or so. Doesn't really matter if you have pick-up on tours every other day. breakfast is fine but the same every... More

Stayed here from 6th to 9th May 2012. Found the Hotel friendly, clean and more than adequate for a short stay, it is a 20 minute walk to the centre of town and is a really nice walk along the seafront. I had read that the rooms were small but I have to say that I found them perfect as... More

Visited Reykjavik via Icelandair, very roomy on the plane, and free hot and cold drinks. In flight entertainment. Use the Flybus to travel to and from the airport, and for trips. The Hotel Cabin rooms are compact, all you need for a short stay. Lovely hot shower. Hanging space for clothes, but no drawer space. Large cases fit under the... More
