This is a lovely hotel. We just got back from a four-night stay. The advertised view was of the mountains, but also of the car park and hot dog stand (although apparently Bill Clinton did shop there!). It is right in the centre of town, handy for everything. The room was good, toiletries were lovely, everything there that you needed.... More

We stayed for our first night in Reykjavik and the hotel is ideally located in the city centre. The harbour, restaurants, bars and shopping stores are in walking distance. The staff was friendly at The reception as well as in the restaurant! We received an upgrade to the Junior Suite and had a very nice room. Thanks for the pleasant stay! André... More

I hit 4 hotels over the past month and hands down this is the best place to stay. It is dead center of all the action and has free wifi. The service is great. Beds and rooms nice and comfortable. Great breakfast options especially for american's that need there bacon and eggs. I stuck with porridge! Bad points, bar is... More

This was a friendly hotel, well situated in downtown Reykjavik. The reception staff were very helpful and we had fun in the bar. Nice room - fairly spacious. Many of the ways tourist see the island are by doing bus/coach tours which typically pick up and drop off at various "downtown" hotels. And I have to say we realized that... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel! I am truly happy you enjoyed your stay with us, both location and service level. Our location is as you say in the middle of all Reykjavik attractions. Everything Reykjavik has to offer is only steps away from the hotel. Being situated in the city centre of the... More

My wife and i spent two nights in Reykjavik at the Radisson Blu 1919. Room rates were quite reasonable, considering that a full buffet breakfast was included each night in the rate. When we arrived, after a visit directly from the airport to the Blue Lagoon, our room was ready, and we had been upgraded to a larger room at... More

My daughter and I stayed at the 1919 for 3 nights. We had the least expensive room that we pre-paid for months in advance to get the best value and was located on the 2nd floor. Our room had a queen-sized bed and was tiny - just enough room to walk around the sides of the bed and put our... More

I stayed at the 1919 for an alternative Christmas with my family. We had one double and one twin room, both of which were very spacious, well decorated (in a minimalist fashion typical of the country), extremely clean and had plenty of storage space. The beds were very comfortable and, as we were there at such a quiet time, we... More

Very central location for this hotel. Breakfast very nice, rooms quite basic even for an upgraded room. Staff very pleasant and attentive, was disappointed to be charged 35 Euros per night for an occasional bed in our room for a child, this was only made aware to us at check in.
