the hotel was cheaper than the previous place I stayed, and surprisingly the bungalows are cheaper than in the main building. this is probably as they are not so well insonorised, and I should think a bit smaller than in the main building. however, my bungalow was lovely, tea and coffee making, individual heating, fab views and quiet neighbours! this... Stayed in one of the cabins next to the main building. The fact is that I would have been happy with a sleeping bag and pillow at this location. The cabin was perfect for what we wanted. I was able to open my door in the early morning to the most beautiful sounds and sights on earth. The cabin has... More

My wife and I stayed here this past October in the "summer cottages" and enjoyed our stay. The cottages were simple, but nice and clean. The only downside to them is that you can hear pretty plainly through the walls if someone is staying in the other half (the cottages are duplexes). Luckily the people staying next to us were... We were booked into this hotel as part of a fly drive package. A bit like a real budget chain hotel in UK or France. There was a basic but good restaurant within walking distance. More

I stayed there 1 night with my girfriend in August. We had one of the little cottage near the actual hotel. The room was clean and charming. It wasjust what we wanted after a long day of hikes. They also offfered a discount for the restaurant at the service station on the other side of the street. The main problem... More

We stayed in the main building. The rooms are tiny but clean. The building resembles a dormitory and sounds about the same, with noisy families and tourists coming and going at all hours with very thin walls. Also, they do not permit smoking within, so groups tend to congregate outside of the main entrance and outside the rooms to smoke.... More

Of all the EDDA Hotels where we stayed during our trip to Iceland this one had the smallest room and bathroom , but it was clean and quiet. There are also chalet-style rooms, which we have not seen. Breakfast very good as always in Edda. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but a really good one just across the... More

This hotel is a fine place to stay while overnighting in Vik. The room was updated, though the bed wasn't terribly comfortable. It was a good in/out kind of place. We arrived around 11pm and were out the door by 8am. Breakfast was serviceable and about what I was expecting. After a long day of driving and hiking it was... More

Vik is a natural stopping place on the south coast with a black sand beach, sea stacks off shore, bird studded cliffs, This hotel is right off the highway, clean rooms with a TV, table and chairs and an electric kettle to make tea and coffee Free wi-fi in the lobby Some decent restaurants in the town ( which is quite...
