It's an old fashioned hotel with large rooms and old furniture - it kind of sends you back in time of Franz Joseph period which actually fits perfectly if you are for the first time in Vienna and you plan to visit Schonbrunn and Hofburg. My first thought was: did I just travel back in time? Yes, the hotel looks old-fashioned but I did not book the room to admire its decor. Rooms were warm and clean and spacious, staff was friendly and spoke English, breakfast was basic but good enough. The location is OK, close to the metro. Nothing to complain about.

Close to Vienna's northern rail station but not really central to anything this hotel was adequate for a one night stay. A bit like time travelling back to the 70's without the charm. Spend 5 nights there, and I don't have anything bad to say about it. Very basic rooms and bathrooms. Young women at the reception were wonderful and very helpful in everything. Wi-fi cost about 5 euros for the whole stay, but I didn't mind. Who wants to make a noise about 5 euros? Breakfest was also very basic, nothing fancy.... More
