Close to Suedtirolplatz Bahnhof , Hotel Delta is the petfect choice to stay. 30 minutes to the city center by foot. 10 minutes by U1 bahn to the Opera. I had previously written about this Hotel, and I was wrong on one thing: the metro is actually very close if once outside the door you take the left and cross the train station. All the other comments are the same: efficient staff, and good price/benefit ratio; not a glamorous place.

Stayed in Delta Hotel for New Year, this is a very basic Hotel, no fridge or mini bar in room. The room was very hot at night even with heating switched off,could not leave window open because of noise from traffic. Some of the reception staff not very helpful, also stale smell in corridores, would not recommend this hotel.
