Have stayed at the Empire a few times over the years a true family run hotel with the benifit of being close to the town centre shops , the Venicular to the Great Orme and the sea. We usually stay in No. 72 an almost private house next door to the hotel with quite delightful rooms and very private. The... More

Have stayed at The Empire several times over the last 15 years and always want to go back. Have just visited for four days which is the first time in 18 months and they have raised their standards again. As with all good hotels its the staff that always make the difference and the team at The Empire don't change... More

In "the old days" food & menu were second to none...1st class...superior selection & quality but now that the Siblings are running the place I fear it has all changed. Good attentive service &, all that, nice pool & bar but will book B&B next time & eat out at several excellent Bistro type restaurants locally. The biggest let down... More

We decided to book a stop at the Empire Hotel for a special birthday treat for out friends. I bought a gift voucher for bed breakfast and evening meal, last October and they went on 15th April booking themselves an extra night. They are very honest friends who if they had not enjoyed their stay would have just said "thank... More

The hotel was a lovely hotel and staff friendly, bit disappointed with restaurant as menu not that good and also needs to be nore choice for children, this didn't feel like a child friendly hotel, but there were a lot of families staying there. Room were lovely nicely decorated and furnished. Pool area lovely a bit dark though. I enjoyed... More

On arrival we were wlcomed and swiftly taken to our immaculate room. The heating system was explained to us. Dinner on the first night was ok. My wife had an excellent steak, but my lamb, I suspect was the usual (boil in the bag) as supplied by `Brakes` or other food supplier. On the second night we had pork loin.... More

This is a fabulous hotel on all counts! Lucky to celebrate a rather large important birthday here and wouldn't have wished to be anywhere else. Very comfortable luxurious room, superb food, excellent service, friendly familiar faces with nothing too much trouble, all overseen 'hands-on' by two generations of a lovely family. The Empire should be the benchmark for 'How to... More

Just returned to the Empire after a few years since the last visit and it's as wonderful as it has always been. This hotel is beautiful, it's an absolute treat to stay here, the decor is unique giving the place a special feel, so classy and different from the usual carbon copy hotels. The rooms are gorgeous, home made biscuits... More

I visited with my husband & two small sons during the Easter holidays. I had booked a treatment in the spa-but was gutted to find out the beautician has called in sick-I guess these things happen. Our family room was pleasant but on the small side, breakfast was pretty good-with lots of choice for both adults & kids. We didn't... More
