We stayed here for a night in March during the nice weather as it was really cheap. For the price we got what we expected, large, old hotel way past its best but still great value. We had dinner and wine, food was absolutely acceptable but the wine was 'British' meaning it was random grapes fermented here and completely undrinkable.... More

Ok, so when we booked this place, we booked a double room. I usually book through booking.com but in this case, we wanted to make very sure that we could pay on CHECKING OUT as the only dates we could make the trip, meant checking in the day before I got paid. We had this confirmed on the phone with... More

My girlfriend and I got a deal to stay here at a discounted rate which we felt was worth it (£45 for 2 nights). I cannot envisage paying full price here. The hotel décor is dated and you just feel like they should have changed the carpets and wallpapers a long time ago. Our en suite didn't have a shower,... More

Having read some of the reviews of the Grand we arrived expecting something akin to Fawlty Towers. Our organiser had booked a three night stay at the Grand. There were 12 of us on a golfing holiday. It appeared to be potluck whether you got a small twin room, like I did, or a room with a surplus of beds... More

After booking for a 2 night stay we were told when we got there that we could have a sea view for an extra £20.00. We took them up on this offer, the view we had was of the sea and also peeling wallpaper dirty sheets and mould/mildew growing on the balcony doors. We advised reception of the issues and... More

Stayed on DBB £80 food I would not feed to the homeless in a hostile awful awful awful. Staff no warmth no smiles. Note to the manager of... More

We were two couples that stayed two nights on dinner bed and breakfast with wine included,we could not fault the hotel the rooms were clean, staff friendly breakfast and evening meal had a good selection of food. As the weather was bad we stayed in for the entertainment and even won the bingo. We had a good midweek break and... More

Stayed for 3 nights in May 2012 B&B. The staff could not be more helpful. Self service breakfast was really great; you could choose what to eat. Cereals, Porridge, Toast, Marmalade, Full English the lot. The room was OK but the bathroom needed a bit of TLC. Someone had attempted to emulsion the walls but misted in places and left... More

We booked into this hotel for 4 nights and left after 1! Lost £200 in doing this but couldn't bear to stay any longer. The hotel is noisy, very tired, floorboards creaking everywhere so as not to allow you to sleep. The lift bell is as loud as our front door bell so from around 7am I think the postman... More
