Really enjoyed the food, Rooms were more than comfortable and spacious- (2 adults and 2 Children) Have stayed twice now and would not have returned had it not been adequate. Staff friendly and helpful. More

We stayed here in an Executive Room (#106) for two nights over a weekend. Build in the 1970s, this hotel is now looking shabby and in need of renovation.   Check in was slow and the receptionist did not seem to know what she was doing. Room was worn out - stains on the carpet, holes in the armchair, taps... More

Dear Iskaymuyu, I appreciate the time you have taken to provide me personally with further details about your stay here at the Holiday Inn Ipswich. While we are unable to change the age of the hotel, we do have an ongoing soft refurbishment programme, which maintains a fresh appearance. Our bar is in fact having such a refurbishment in July.... Having read some of the previous reviews we knew what to expect when it came to this hotel, to start with its located just off the A14 so its ideal for touring the local area. Just down the road is the Ipswich Park and Ride which itself is located next to a Tesco Extra, Currys/PC World, Burger King and Pizza... More

Arrived late one night after long car journey. Very friendly welcome from reception. Room OK- perhaps a little bit dated but very comfortable, clean and everything worked. Surprisingly good meal in restaurant- excellent service and value. Same really applied to breakfast which I enjoyed. Used health club in morning- well equipped and busy. More

Dear Ms. Corn, Despite numerous correspondence with you, you have been unable to provide me with your confirmation details, the date on which you stayed, and as such I cannot verify your reservation at this Holiday Inn. In the room (112) in which you say you stayed, we do in fact have "Japanese" style wooden blackout shutters, so there is... More

We can make no negative remarks about our stay. We had an up-graded room that was beautifully clean and well equipped. We had come for the retirement dinner of a friend and the meal was excellent. We found the breakfast superb in both quality and choice. The staff were attentive but not obtrusive. We would certainly stay again. More

I stayed for just the one night, along with several other colleagues on business. The hotel is easy to find, with plenty of parking. Like most of the old Forte Posthouses, it can look a bit dated, and the layout can mean a long trek to get to your room. But when I found it, my room was comfortable, quiet,... More

We often stay at this hotel whilst visiting family in the area. we like its handy location, cleanliness, breakfast and friendly staff. We have not eaten on the restaurant but use the bar areas. We always manage to get a good price by booking in advance More

This Holiday Inn offers very good value for money. Rooms are well appointed, clean, and offer decent amenities. The property is a bit of a maze though! Executive rooms offer mini bars, with complimentary chocolate and water. The Breakfast buffet was well stocked, and food was tasty and of good quality. Location wise, it's about 4 miles from the City... More

We only booked this hotel last minute but managed to still get a good deal for a one night stay. Check in was easy and the staff were very helpful and courteous. Room was of a decent size and clean. Only slight downside was the bathroom being a bit on the small side compared to other chains. The town centre... More
